Punjab Civil Services Syllabus & Eligibility

The Punjab Civil Services exam combined competitive exam held by Punjab Public Service Commission for the purpose of recruiting workforce for Government Services. Like Deputy Superintendent, PCS Executive, Excise, and Taxation officer.

Educational Qualification:

The Candidate must possess a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution. the university should be based on an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.
; And Also MandatoryFor fil, the exam you must pass matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory/ elective subjects or any other equivalent exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

The age limit to apply for the examination is 21 to 28 years for DSP (Deputy Superintendent Jails/District Probation Officer) as of 01.01.2021 and for other posts, the age limit should be 21 to 37 years as of 01.01.2022. For the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Grade-II)/ District Probation Officer (Jails), Minimum Height (men) should be 5 feet 7 inches, Chest Measurement should be 33 inches, and expended should be 34.5 inches Minimum Height (women) should be 5 feet 3 inches.

Preliminary Tests :
In preliminary test contains two paper

  • General Studies
  • CSAT
  • Every Paper Contains 200 marks.
Thair is a limit paper is written in English (Roman script) and Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script).

The main competitive examination shall include seven compulsory papers. All papers shall be descriptive in nature and the duration of each paper will be three hours.
