What requirements must one meet to become a POSP agent?


You must be over 18 years old, have finished at least Class 10 of your education, have a valid Aadhaar Card, and a valid PAN Card in order to work as an insurance agent.

What paperwork must I provide?



The following documents are required for registration. These must all be self-attested (signed by you)

Pass certificate for classes 10 and up
PAN card and Aadhaar card copies (front and back)
A rejected check (with your name on it)
A picture.

Does the PAN Card holder have to be the same as the bank account holder?

Yes, TDS is applicable to all paid commissions. Based on your PAN card, TDS is credited to the income tax authorities.

When may I begin marketing insurance?

You can start preparing for the PoSP exam as soon as you register with us. You will be given an eCertificate if you take the exam and pass it. As a PoSP agent, you are then prepared to begin selling insurance.

Does becoming certified as a POS person require any formal training?

Yes, you must finish the programme in order to become a POSP. It will cover a variety of subjects, such as insurance fundamentals, different types of policies, the issuance and claims processes, rules and regulations, etc.
